Ashtanga Full Primary Series

A more athletic flow of postures for those who enjoy a self-challenge, The Ashtanga Primary Series, practiced in full is an advanced level 2-3 practice, and is the final step in our Ashtanga class series following the beginner's Ashtanga 1 & intermediate practitioner's Ashtanga 1-2. It is referred to as Yoga Chikitsa, which means yoga therapy, and is utilized to realign the spine, detoxify the body, building strength, flexibility, and stamina. The series of about 75 poses takes an hour and a half, beginning with sun salutations (Surya Namaskara A and Surya Namaskara B) and moving on to standing poses, seated poses, inversions, and back bends before relaxation.
